The Topsyturvy Spheres is the eighteenth episode of the second season of the TV series and forty fifth episode of the full series overall.
Plot[]
Wendy and John come home from school and, boy, are they mad at each other! As they were rehearsing their act for the neighborhood party (Wendy choreographed a dance to a song John plays on the piano), they had a fierce argument. Basically, John is accusing Wendy of trying to steal the show by improvising a song, while Wendy blames John for his lack of musical audacity. So as John and Wendy fly to Neverland, the ambiance is heavy with resentment…
…But Peter has a surprise waiting for them. By coming to get them earlier than usual, he allows them to witness the sunrise over Neverland along with the Great Opera of the Stars. Before leaving for the day, the stars dance around the sky as a sweet melody, played by all of the musical creatures (the Wild Melodies, Singsongshells, Little Trumpets and even the Speaking Trees), fills Neverland. Then, as if hypnotized by the lovely tune, the Sun climbs up into the sky…
Except that this morning, Jake Sorrow, who is on look-out, can’t help joining the concert. He takes a deep breath and belts out… A horribly out of tune note! Frightened, the stars fall from the sky with a scream and the musical creatures scatter in a terrible cacophony. The frightened sun abruptly sets! For the Lost Kids and the Nevertribe, this is a catastrophe! If they don’t manage to gather all of the musical creatures and the stars so they perform the “Song of the Spheres” together, eternal night will reign over Neverland…
