Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare is an upcoming British slasher film produced by Rhys Frake-Waterfield and directed by Scott Jeffrey. It is a horror retelling based on the story of Peter Pan, and is the fourth film set in Frake-Waterfield's horror fairy-tale relling film series known as the The Twisted Childhood Universe Set in the same universe as the other films, it follows Wendy Darling as she tries to track down her brother, Michael, who has been abducted by a villainous Peter Pan.
It is planned to be released around Halloween 2024.

Development and writing[]
In November 2022, British producer Rhys Frake-Waterfield announced that he was working on a Peter Pan horror movie. The film’s title was announced to be Peter Pan: Neverland Nightmare and was already in the early stages of development.[2] Per the film's horror take on the original story, the character of Tinker Bell was planned to portrayed as a “heavily obese” fairy that is “a recovering drug addict.” [3]
After the success of his slasher film Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey, Frake-Waterfield announced that he was planning to create an entire universe filled with bloodied X-rated adaptations of beloved childhood stories, with Peter Pan being one of them. “The idea is that we’re going to try and imagine they’re all in the same world, so we can have crossovers.”[4]

Director Scott Jeffrey stated that, “I am taking inspiration from French cinema while in prep for this movie. The film will be incredibly tense following Wendy as she tries to track down her brother, Michael, who has been abducted by Peter Pan. I would say it’s a mesh between Switchblade Romance and The Black Phone with our own spin on it. It is a nasty, violent and incredibly dark movie.”[5]
Casting[]
On January 30th it was announced that Megan Placito had joined the cast along Kit Green, Peter DeSouza-Feighoney and Charity Kase, with additional casting being underway.[5]
Filming[]
The film was shot in the U.K in May this year, with a Halloween 2024 theatrical release planned.[5]
