The Never Bird saves Peter from drowning when he is stranded on Marooners' Rock, by giving him her nest which he uses as a sailing vessel. The book suggests that the bird is giant.
Jake and the Never Land Pirates[]
This character was adapted for this animated series. In this version the bird is normal size, she is a female and can only say two things: "Never" and "Ever", so the characters only ask questions that fit these answers. Captain Hook called the bird to steal Izzy's hula hoop, for him to use as the ship's new helm. But the bird refused to give the hula hoop and wanted to use it to decorate its nest, Jake and his friends convince him to return it by making a flower decoration for the nest. After that, the character started to appear regularly among the protagonists' friends.
