Peter Pan Wiki

Monkey See, Monkey Do is the twentieth episode of the second season of the TV series and forty seventh episode of the full series overall.

Plot[]

John is in the middle of exams, completely stressed out, his brain on overload. His head full of mathematical formulae and theories, he just doesn’t get the poem that Wendy is reciting to Michael. What’s with the singing stars? Everybody knows stars shine, they don’t sing! Wendy thinks John lacks imagination. It’s a metaphor! Michael doesn’t understand poetry very well either, but he likes the idea of stars forming a sort of chorus who sing to wake up the Sun King. Wendy congratulates Michael for his sensitivity. John is miffed. You pretend to seek truth by stuffing your head with false images! Wendy can’t believe it: John really ought to chill out a bit, he’s starting to talk like a grown up.

According to Peter, who appears forthwith, it’s time for John to meet his TOTEM in Neverland. John smells a rat. What is with this Totem thing? Peter explains that the Indians believe that each person has a part of him that is Animal, still linked to Nature, and which is indispensable for his well-being! It’s an opportunity for John to get to know himself better, and above all to relax a little bit during the stressful time of exams.
